Pete Eibner, CPT has grown into one of the most successful trainers over the last decade, placing athletes at the highest levels of sport, including professional and collegiate. His system focuses on the development of strength, stride length, and stride frequency all of which are the key components of speed.
As an athlete, he had a very good high school career as a captain of Archbishop Curley High School during the 1987 season. From there he attended perrenial NJCAA powerhouse, Essex CC for two years. At Essex, Pete was captain of the 1989 team which won the Maryland Junior College title, the Region XX championship, and was a national finalist. He won several individual honors and earned a scholarship to play at UMBC. Pete was All Conference in his senior year in which he captained the Retrievers to one of their best seasons in school history.
His training career began in 1992 at Archbishop Curley High School, where he was an assistant soccer coach for the boys varsity. Immediately an impact was made. Curley began to dominate their divisions and win titles. At that time, it was more of a hobby. Helping various club teams and high level players reach their athletic goals became his passion. In 2006, after a 10 year absence, Pete took his conditioning and speed techniques back to Curley in the hopes of giving them a much needed boost. The Friars promptly won the MIAA title, finishing #1 in Maryland, and earned a national ranking.
In 2007, Pete left his high school alma mater to work for Pete Caringi at UMBC. The Retrievers have become one of the most exciting teams in the country since that time. In 2009, they opened the season against a tough schedule 9-0 earning a national ranking.
When he is not training the retrievers, Pete helps out a cross section of althletes, male and female, coming from a variety of sports. He trains several teams for the Baltimore Bays, ranked the #1 club in the nation by Soccer America. He has worked intensely with football players at Perry Hall High School, earning several county championships since 2004.
Training is his passion. He dedicates himself to the success of his clients. " I believe that the most important ingredients for success are not genetic, they come from within, the ability to work hard and train hard". While his work outs are never easy and often challenging both mentally and physically, the results can not be denied.
